Sexual Healing

2017.

Graduation project BA Design Academy Eindhoven
A product collection focussing on overcoming sexual dysfunction after traumatic experiences.

Trauma can cause highly complex sexual issues that are often a combination of psychological and somatic symptoms. Bringing together multidisciplinary insights into sexual dysfunction and turning them into friendly products, Sexual Healing offers various ways to (re-)explore intimacy, working through anxiety and a better understanding of your body.

This project evolved into the development of consumer products 'Brush' and 'Mirror' and into ongoing research project Sexual Healing 2.0.
In 2018 this project was awarded with the 'Stabalizing Communities' award during the Milan design week.
